Very busy hotel but great location. Really central. Breakfast ok but extremely busy had better at other Scandic hotels particularly the Grand Central in Helsinki. Had a business hotel vibe. Take into account that many of the rooms do not have opening windows but was lucky to have a room with an opening window. Hotels in Stockholm for some reason are very expensive.

Hotel have me room 311, which was just cleaned with chlorite or similar, and smell was just awful. Just thought if someone had thrown up there, and cleaners had tried to clean the room. Could not stay in that room, but hotel was able to give me another room. So, if you stay there in the end of March, beginning of April, do not accept room 311.

Horrible vegetarian options

The vegetarian option was horrible 2 out 2 times, it seemed the cooks put zero effort and just opened a box of highly processed frozen stuff and threw it in the oven or in the deep frier. A bit of willingness can make nice stews, curries, patties, etc that look good, taste great and are nutritious! Someone should go and pull the chef's ear and make him/her do the job right and stop being lazy.

We stayed for a long weekend as family of four, using one of their family rooms: double bed plus bunk beds and shower room. The room was comfortable and we slept very well (would love to be able to buy their blackout blinds, the best I have used) but the room barely works if the children are over 10, as the floor space is very limited and the shower room tiny (but functional. Some of the corridors were a bit tired and smelt dusty but the room, bathroom and restaurants were very clean. The breakfast buffet is excellent, varied and with knowledgeable staff who can help direct severely allergic children to the many options that were safe for them. This, coupled with the central location and comfortable beds means that we would definitely stay again, but pick two connecting rooms next time.

As we were seeing the sights of Stockholm, I wanted a hotel that was close to everything at a decent price. The Klara delivered. I assumed I’d be using Hötorget metro station but actually ended up using Central station more (even in snowy conditions) as that was also just a short walk away. Staff were helpful throughout, and I believe I bothered just about all of them during our stay for something or other. Breakfast had a good selection, enough for us to start the day well so no complaints there.
